This is a special opportunity for anyone – photographer or not – to digitally capture the essence of Gig Harbor, Washington. The photos in this contest depict a typical day in the life around the Gig Harbor Peninsula.
Entries accepted during the weekend of April 25-27, 2014. Public voting starts April 28 and closes May 5, 2014. All images will be archived at the Harbor History Museum as a documentary of this 3-day period in 2014. If you would like to make a donation, all funds will go to The Gig Harbor Lighthouse 25 fund, and is a component fund of The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation. The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in Tacoma, Washington.

Rules & Eligibility
Contest open to all. No limit to the number of entries per person. No fee for voting but only one vote per person, per day. Fees will go to The Gig Harbor Lighthouse 25 fund which is a component fund of The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation. The Greater Tacoma Community Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization located in Tacoma, Washington.
By entering the Contest, the entrant agrees to release the image(s) submitted for use by the Sponsor and its assigns at will and the entrant further agrees to have their submitted name displayed in conjunction with their image(s) and used for any purpose, at any time, without any fee or other form of compensation. The entrant acknowledges and warrants that the submitted photograph is an original work created solely by the entrant, that the photograph does not infringe on the copyrights, trademarks, moral rights, rights of privacy or intellectual property rights of any person or entity, and that no other party has the right, claim or interest in the photograph. The photograph must not contain obscene, provocative, defamatory, sexually explicit or otherwse objectionable content.
All photographs will be historically recorded as a documentary to be archived at the Harbor History Museum.
