Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh Photo Contest

Contest hosted by: Catholic Charities of Pittsburgh

Website:
http://www.ccpgh.org

The “It’s My Faith!” Student Art Competition is open to students in grades K-8 in participating schools in the diocese. All Catholic elementary schools were asked to answer “What Do You Think Pope Francis Does Every Day?” through artwork and a brief description.

We received a total of over 1,200 entries from the schools that participated, which were then narrowed down to nine finalists (three in each judging category of grades K-3, 4-6, and 7-8).

The purpose of this contest is to recognize the creative talent of students from participating elementary and middle schools in the Diocese of Pittsburgh while increasing community awareness of the mission, programs and services of Catholic Charities.

All entrants will receive a certificate of participation. The first place winners from each grade category will receive a $100 Amazon gift card, and their classroom will receive a lunch party to celebrate their success. The top winners will also have their artwork displayed at the parish where their school is located. The winners of the art competition will also have their designs displayed on a billboard in the greater Pittsburgh area in 2015.

Important note: when viewing each artwork entry, please click on “DETAILS” for specific information about each student, their grade level, and parish.
