BROOKLYN CENTER, MN -The worldwide online public voting for the 2015 People’s Choice Award is now open for Wildlife Forever’s State-Fish Art Contest, presented by FLW. As the saying goes … the one with the most votes wins!The People’s Choice last year was a brook trout painting by Claudia Jo, a talented 6th grader from New York.  The online viewers cast 10,704 votes and viewed  individual images over 60,000 times!

All 157 first place state and international winners are available for online voting until midnight July 26, 2015. You can vote once a day per image. To vote go to: http://www.wildlifeforever.org/contest/vote

Title sponsor FLW will be hosting the 17th Annual State-Fish Art EXPO at the FLW Cup.  Fans, projected at 60,000, will be able to vote on Friday, August 21st in Hot Springs, Arkansas.  The People’s Choice Award winner will be announced and the trophy presented August 22nd at the Awards Ceremony.

About the State-Fish Art Contest

The Wildlife Forever State-Fish Art Contest, presented by FLW,  is celebrating its 17th year of bringing children, art and aquatic conservation together. To enter, young artists create an original illustration of any official state-fish and one page of writing detailing its behavior, habitat, and efforts to conserve it. Entries are categorized in four grade levels: K-3, 4-6, 7-9, and 10-12. Educators nationwide utilize Fish On!, the FREE full-color State-Fish Art Lesson Plan, integrating the disciplines of science and art.  It is available on CD, at no charge, and for download at www.StateFishArt.info.  Entries are due by March 31st each year.  Learn more at www.StateFishArt.org.
