Tips for taking Outdoor Photos
Watch the sun
Avoid photographing in direct sunlight, or in mixed light and shade, especially faces. Optimal lighting for almost any photography pose, results from a slightly overcast sky.
Watch the shade
When photographing in shade, use your flash.
Watch the background distractions
Oh boy, we have seen some great photos ruined by all types of distracting and often hilarious background hijinks. So boot Uncle Joe with his funny golf shorts or grandma without her teeth, out of the background. Look beyond what your photo will be.
Lastly think of the details
The human eyes tends to skim, but the camera will see that missed button, stray hair, dirt smudge, crumbled paper..everything that will take away from your great photo, so really look before you click.
