Getting ready for the The Big Photo Show competition

We are very excited to once again, work with the The Big Photo Show!

This years photo competition will follow a very similar format to last year.  As we work towards getting this years photo contest online, please take this opportunity to go through your images.  You still have plenty of time to narrow down your best shot.

Last years prizes were very generous, so please don’t miss out.  For those new participants, you can see last years superb  photo highlights below or go directly to the photo contest.

Olympic National Park Weekend Workshop

May 2nd through May 4th, 2014

PHOTOscramble is proud to announce the first  Olympic National Park weekend Workshop sponsored by Global Immersion Tours and instructed by Jeffery Fong of Jeffrey Fong Photography out of Seattle, WA.

This is the first event in our “Weekend Warrior” series and it is an opportunity to immerse yourself into one of America’s national treasures while learning photography.  You will use that knowledge to create beautiful images in places such as Hurricane Ridge, rain forests, waterfalls, rivers and beaches along the Washington coast.

We will be staying at beautiful Lake Crescent Lodge, a piece of history built in 1916.

Our workshop begins on Friday night at the lodge.  We will meet each other, talk about what will happen over the next two days, and answer any questions you have.

Saturday morning, we will get started with a lecture on photography basics and what will be the best way to capture images at the different locations we will visit.  We’ll also cover the equipment requirements and its proper use.  Our low student-to-instructor ratio will allow everyone to receive individual instruction and tips on how to improve their photos.

Our first session will be in a rain forest.  There will be plenty of opportunities to photograph the breathtaking trees, mosses and streams.

Our second session will be at one of the many beaches along the Washington coast. This is a great opportunity to photograph the coastline, tide pools, driftwood and sunsets.
